NWU Opens Snyder Classic With 87-76 Win

Nebraska Wesleyan rallied from a 10-point second half deficit and used a 13-2 run late in the game to pull away as the Prairie Wolves defeated Presentation College, 87-76, in the opening round of the 22nd Annual Snyder Classic held on Friday night (Nov. 26) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln. Augsburg College defeated Westminster College in the first game of the evening.

Prairie Wolves Snap 10-game Losing Streak at Hastings

Bryce Arp hit a baseline jumper with 52.7 seconds left to put Nebraska Wesleyan up 54-52 then Jonah Bradley sealed with victory with a pair of free throws with 1.7 seconds left as the Prairie Wolves defeated Hastings College, 56-52 in the GPAC opener for NWU.

22nd Annual Snyder Classic to be Played This Weekend

The Nebraska Wesleyan University men's basketball team will be the host school for the 22nd Annual Snyder Classic over Thanksgiving weekend in Lincoln, Neb. The two day tournament will be played Friday (Nov. 26) and Saturday (Nov. 27) at Snyder Arena on the NWU campus.

Nebraska Wesleyan committed 27 total turnovers and could not overcome a big first half deficit as they lost for the first time in a 74-60 decision at Webster University in men's basketball action Saturday (Nov. 20) afternoon.

Dylan Aylward posted a double-double with 28 points and 11 rebounds in his first game in over one year as he led the Nebraska Wesleyan University men to a 74-51 victory over Millikin in the 2010-11 season opener on Friday night (Nov. 19) at the Webster Classic in St. Louis, Mo.

NWU Men Selected 9th in GPAC Basketball Poll

The Nebraska Wesleyan University basketball team was picked to finish ninth in the 2010-11 preseason Great Plains Athletic Conference Coaches’ poll that was released on Tuesday (Oct. 12). The poll was voted on by all 12 coaches with points awarded on an 11-1 basis and coaches could not vote for their own team.
