Nebraska Wesleyan junior center Dylan Aylward received another honor this season when he was named to the Association of Division III Independent 2009 All-Independent Men’s Basketball Team.  Aylward was named to the All-AD3I First-Team.

March 4

Nebraska Wesleyan junior center Dylan Aylward was the team’s lone representative on the 2009 Great Plains Athletic Conference men’s basketball All-GPAC team that was announced on Wednesday (March 4).  Aylward received All-GPAC Second-Team recognition.

February 21

Nebraska Wesleyan shot just 30.6 percent from the field for the game as they never could get their offense on track as Hastings College defeated the Prairie Wolves, 65-54, in the season finale for the 2008-09 season.

Midland Lutheran held Nebraska Wesleyan to 14 percent shooting in the first ten minutes of the game to jump out to an early nine point lead and they would never trail in the game as the Warriors defeated the Prairie Wolves, 72-60, in GPAC men's basketball action on Tuesday night (Feb. 17) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln.

Nebraska Wesleyan jumped out to an early 18-4 lead and never trailed in the game as the Prairie Wolves won their second straight game with a 75-58 victory over the University of Sioux Falls in GPAC men's basketball action Saturday afternoon (Feb. 14) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln, Neb.

February 11

The Nebraska Wesleyan men's basketball team snapped a seven-game losing streak and picked up their first win since Jan. 10, when they defeated rival Concordia University, 66-59, on Wednesday night (Feb. 11) in Great Plains Athletic Conference men's basketball action.

The Nebraska Wesleyan men's basketball team shot just 30.1 percent from the floor and 19.0 percent from 3-point range as they dropped their seventh straight game losing 71-57 to Mount Marty College on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 7) in Yankton, S.D.

The Hastings men opened the second half on a 13-2 run to overcome a 11-point halftime deficit, then held on as Nebraska Wesleyan missed a game-winning 3-point attempt in the final seconds to give Hastings College a 56-53 victory over NWU in GPAC men's basketball action Wednesday night (Feb. 4) at Lynn Farrell Arena.

January 31

Brandon Arp missed a 3-point attempt at the buzzer as 15th-ranked Morningside College held off Nebraska Wesleyan, 67-64, in Great Plains Athletic Conference men's basketball action on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 31) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln.

January 28

Dana College shot a blistering 59.3 percent from the field in the first half to jump out to a 18-point halftime lead and the Vikings went on to cruise to a 72-54 victory over Nebraska Wesleyan in GPAC men's basketball action on Wednesday night (Jan. 28) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln, Neb.

Northwestern ended the first half on a 31-4 run and never looked back as the Red Raiders won their sixth straight game defeating Nebraska Wesleyan, 70-61, in GPAC men's basketball action on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 24) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln, Neb.

January 18

Nebraska Wesleyan battled hard and was within single digits for the majority of the second half, but in the end Dakota Wesleyan was too much as they defeated the Prairie Wolves, 77-64, in GPAC men's basketball action on Sunday afternoon (Jan. 18) at the Corn Palace in Mitchell, S.D.

Despite not making a field in the final 11:51 of the game, Nebraska Wesleyan University held on for a 68-61 upset victory over #12 Dordt on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 10) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln.

Jake Spurgeon hit a deep 3-pointer with 0.1 seconds remaining to give Nebraska Wesleyan a dramatic 69-68 overtime victory over arch rival Doane College in GPAC men's basketball action on Wednesday night (Jan. 7) at Snyder Arena.

December 28

Concordia-Moorhead ended the game on a 9-4 run over the final 2:40 to hold off Nebraska Wesleyan, 66-62, in men's basketball action on Monday night (Dec. 29) in Moorhead, Minn.

December 13

Simpson College shot 57.7 percent from the field in the first half to lead by as many as 11 points and Nebraska Wesleyan was unable to overcome the deficit as the Storm defeated the Prairie Wolves, 75-68, in NCAA Division III men' basketball action Saturday night (Dec. 13) in Indianola, Iowa.

December 10

17th-ranked Concordia University held Nebraska Wesleyan to just 31.1 percent shooting from the floor and the Prairie Wolves made just 9-21 free throws as the Bulldogs won a defensive battle, 47-40, in an energy filled Snyder Arena on Wednesday night (Dec. 10).

December 5

The Nebraska Wesleyan Athletic Department has announced that the Dec. 10th home men’s basketball game against Concordia University will be a “Blackout Night” at Snyder Arena as all fans are encouraged to wear black to support the Prairie Wolves.  The game between the Prairie Wolves and Bulldogs will tip-off at 7:30 pm at Snyder Arena in Lincoln, Neb.

November 29

The Nebraska Wesleyan men's basketball team remained perfect for the 2008-09 season as the Prairie Wolves easily handled the University of Dallas, 71-32, in the final game of the 20th Annual Snyder Classic on Saturday night (Nov. 29) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln, Neb.

November 28

Nebraska Wesleyan limited Presentation College to just 33.3 percent shooting from the field as the Prairie Wolves defeated the Saints, 71-49, on Friday (Nov. 28) during the first day of the 20th Annual Snyder Classic in Lincoln, Neb.
