The Nebraska Wesleyan University men's basketball team will kick off the 2012-13 season this weekend as they compete in the River Forest Classic in River Forest, Illinois. NWU will open play Friday night (Nov. 16) against Concordia University Chicago at 6:00 pm, then take on Dominican University on Saturday (Nov. 17) at 4:15 pm.

NWU head coach Cam Schuknecht, who enters his seventh season as head coach of the Prairie Wolves, has three returning starters and eight returning lettermen back from the 2011-12 season where NWU finished 12-14 overall, 8-12 in the GPAC to place sixth in the league.

Nebraska Wesleyan faces a pair of teams from the Northern Athletics Conference. The Concordia Cougars were 10-16 last season, while the Dominican Stars finishes 6-19 overall in 2011-12.
