Nebraska Wesleyan University junior forward Bryce Arp was named to the Second-Team on the 2011 All-Independent Men’s Basketball team that was announced March 7 by the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I).
Arp (Gretna, Neb) was the leading scorer and rebounder for the Prairie Wolves during the 2010-11 season. He averaged 11.5 points and 4.0 rebounds in 27 games. He reached double figures in scoring in 16 games and had over 20 points in five games. He set a career-high with 23 points against then No. 4 Briar Cliff going 9-10 from the floor. He shot 48.6 percent from the field and led the team with 86 made free throws.
Justin Riley from Chapman University was the AD3I All-Independent Player-of-the-Year for the second straight season.
The All-Independent Men’s Basketball teams were selected by the men’s basketball coaches from AD3I member schools.
Nebraska Wesleyan finished the 2010-11 season with a 10-17 overall record. They were 5-4 against NCAA III competition and won the consolation game of the AD3I West Region Tournament to end the year.
