Basketball Teams Close Season at AD3I Tournament

The Nebraska Wesleyan University basketball teams will close out the 2010-11 season this weekend when they participate in the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) West Region Tournament. The NWU men will play in Santa Cruz, California, with the women headed to Irving, Texas.

In the men's tournament, Nebraska Wesleyan received the No. 2 seed in the four-team tournament that will be played at the University of California-Santa Cruz. The Prairie Wolves will play the host school, No. 3 seed UC-Santa Cruz, in the first round on Friday night at 7 pm (PST). Top seeded Chapman University takes on No. 4 seed University of Dallas in the first game of the day. The championship game will be Saturday (Feb. 26) at 7 pm (PST), with the consolation game starting the day at 5 pm (PST).

The women's tournament will be held at the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas. NWU is the No. 3 seed and will play No. 2 seed Dallas, at 6 pm on Friday night. No. 1 Chapman and No. 4 UC-Santa Cruz play the nightcap at 8 pm. On Saturday, the championship game is set for 4 pm, with the consolation at 2 pm.
