The Unsung Hero Award
Donated by Ron Baldwin (Beatrice Daily Sun) beginning in the 1985-86 school term. To be eligible for the award: Any student who has contributed to Wesleyan Athletics in a positive manner and who has not received much publicity for his or her efforts.

The purpose of this award is to honor a graduating senior (either male of female) either active in athletics or as a participant or any other capacity who has worked hard for athletics but hasn’t been a “Headline grabber”. To honor a person who has worked hard in or for athletics without thought to personal gain or honor. For this award, grades are not to be a primary consideration. Any student who has kept him or herself academically eligible for extra curricular activities can receive this award without regard to grade point average.
