Nebraska Wesleyan will face its third straight nationally-ranked opponent this Saturday as the Prairie Wolves host No. 15 Northwestern College in GPAC football action. Kickoff between the Prairie Wolves and Red Raiders is set for 1 pm at Abel Stadium in Lincoln.
NWU (1-3, 0-3 GPAC) will try to get their first conference victory of the season and snap their current three-game losing streak. The Prairie Wolves are also aiming to defeat the Red Raiders for the first time since 1999 as Northwestern has won 12 straight over NWU.
Northwestern (3-1, 1-1) has not visited Lincoln since 2008 when they defeated NWU, 17-15. Close games have been the theme between the Red Raiders and Prairie Wolves in Lincoln as five of the last six games at Abel Stadium have been decided by four points or less.
