Wesleyan Football Aims to Even Series With Rival Doane

September 20, 2012

Nebraska Wesleyan takes to the road this Saturday (Sept. 22) as they travel to Crete, Neb., to face their arch rival Doane College in a GPAC Football rivalry game. Kickoff between the Prairie Wolves and Tigers is set for 1 pm at Simon Field.

NWU will look to even the all-time series with Doane as the Tigers now hold a one game 46-45-6 advantage in the series after winning last season. NWU has won seven of the last nine games between the two teams.

The Prairie Wolves (1-2, 0-2 GPAC) are going for their first conference victory of the 2012 season while the Tigers (2-1, 1-1 GPAC) will try to bounce back after their first loss of the season last week at Northwestern.

Doane is ranked #23 in this week's NAIA Top 25 poll and is the second of three straight ranked opponents that the Prairie Wolves will face.
