Nebraska Wesleyan will play their first night home football game since 2008 when they host No. 4 Morningside College on Saturday (Sept. 15) at 6 pm in Abel Stadium.
The Prairie Wolves (1-1, 0-1 GPAC) upset then No. 3 Morningside last season in Sioux City to hand the eventual GPAC champions their only conference loss of the season. The Mustangs (2-0, 1-0 GPAC) have been dominant to start the 2012 season defeating a pair of NAIA Top 20 teams by a combined score of 83-14.
Last week, NWU had a disappointing 7-3 loss at Midland University in their GPAC opener. Despite holding the Warriors to just 92 total yards, NWU could not get any points on the board. Morningside is coming off a 34-7 win over GPAC preseason favorite No. 10 Northwestern.
An all-campus tailgate party will be held from 4-6 pm on the Chaffee practice fields just west of the stadium. NWU students are admitted for free with a $5 charge for NWU faculty/staff and guests.
