Bohling Named to Nebraska Football Hall of Fame

Former Nebraska Wesleyan offensive lineman Brian Bohling was recently selected to be inducted into the Nebraska Football Hall of Fame.

Bohling was a four-year starter on the offensive line for the Plainsmen from 1996-99 for head coach Brian Keller. Bohling was a two-time NAIA First-Team All-American earning the honors during the 1998 & 1999 seasons. He was named the Football Gazette Offensive Lineman of the Year in 1998.

The Lincoln Southeast High School graduate also was a three-time All-NIAC performer for the Plainsmen on the offensive line.

Bohling is one of nine players selected for the Hall of Fame. He joins Chris Bohl from Hastings College in the Nebraska State Colleges/University division.

Danny Woodhead from Chadron State also gained automatic induction into the Chapter's Hall of Fame.

Six former Nebraska Cornhusker players also were selected for the Hall of Fame including, running back Ken Clark, defensive end Tony Felici, tight end Sheldon Jackson, defensive tackle Bob Liggett, center Kelly Petersen and split end Tim Smith.

Induction and award ceremonies will be on Friday, September 12th at the Memorial Stadium Sky Box Terrace with on-field recognition extended to all honorees prior to the Nebraska-New Mexico State game on Saturday, Sept. 13th.
