Nebraska Wesleyan sophomore place kicker Zach Egger is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Special Teams Player-of-the-Week.
Egger (Wood River, Neb.) kicked a pair of field goals in the Prairie Wolves 19-17 win at Midland Lutheran College this past Saturday. His first field goal was a career-long 50-yard field, which is the longest made field goal in the GPAC this season. He then added a 47-yard field goal to give NWU the lead.
This is the second time that Egger has been named the GPAC Special Teams Player of the Week this season.
Nebraska Wesleyan has now won five straight games for the first time since 1991. The Prairie Wolves will host GPAC rival Doane College on Saturday (Nov. 8) at 1 pm at Abel Stadium in Lincoln.
