An old rivalry will be renewed this Saturday (Sept. 24) as Nebraska Wesleyan University and Doane College meet on the football field for the 97th time in GPAC football action on Homecoming Saturday at Abel Stadium. Kickoff between the Prairie Wolves and Tigers is set for 1 pm.

Amazingly the NWU-Doane series, which began back in 1896, is all deadlocked at 45-45-6.

This season's game has added incentive as both teams are coming off impressive victories last Saturday. NWU defeated #3 Morningside last Saturday, 30-23, in Sioux City and Doane got a 20-8 victory over #21 Northwestern.

Nebraska Wesleyan is the top team receiving votes in this week's NAIA Top 25 while Doane moved up to No. 21, the first time they have appeared in the poll since 2003.
