Nebraska Wesleyan University senior linebacker Brett Kaczor was named to the 2012 AFCA NAIA Coaches All-America Team that was announced today (Dec. 12) by the American Football Coaches Association.

Nebraska Wesleyan Tops All Football Schools in Academic All-Americans

Nebraska Wesleyan University had five football players named to the First-Team of the 2012 Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-America® College Division Football Team. The five CoSIDA/Academic All-Americans were the most among all levels of football playing schools for the 2012 season.

NWU Leads NAIA With Five Football Academic All-Americans

Nebraska Wesleyan University had five football players named to the First-Team of the 2012 Capital One Academic All-America® College Division Football Team that was announced Dec. 3. The five First-Team selections led all schools in the NAIA.

Five NWU Players Earn 1st-Team All-GPAC in Football

The 2012 Great Plains Athletic Conference Football All-Conference team has been selected after a vote of the league coaches on Sunday (Nov. 12) in Sioux City, Iowa. A total of 14 Nebraska Wesleyan University players received recognition from the GPAC.

NAIA Honors Kaczor as National Player-of-the-Week

Nebraska Wesleyan senior linebacker Brett Kaczor has been named the NAIA National Defensive Player-of-the-Week as well as the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Defensive Player-of-the-Week for his performance last Saturday (Nov. 10). It was the second time this year Kaczor has earned GPAC Defensive Player of the Week recognition.

NWU Downs Hastings 21-14 to End Season With 5th Straight Win

Nebraska Wesleyan finished the 2012 season with their fifth straight win as they defeated conference rival Hastings College, 21-14, in the season finale of GPAC football on Saturday (Nov. 10) at Lloyd Wilson Field in Hastings, Neb. NWU finishes the year 6-4 overall, 5-4 in the GPAC to place in a tie for fourth in the conference.

Six Prairie Wolves Honored as Academic All-District Selections

Six Nebraska Wesleyan University football players have been honored as Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District 6 selections. The teams were announced Thursday (Nov. 8). and NWU had six players named All-District in the college division.

Prairie Wolves Close Season At Hastings

Nebraska Wesleyan will close out the 2012 football season this Saturday (Nov. 10) with a road game at Hastings College in the GPAC football season finale. Kickoff between the Prairie Wolves and Broncos is set for 1 pm at Lloyd Wilson Field in Hastings, Neb.

Nebraska Wesleyan defensive lineman Russell Walton has been named this week’s GPAC/Hauff Sports Football Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played on November 3. He is the fourth NWU defensive player to earn GPAC Defensive Player of Week honors this season.

Defense Shuts Down Dakota Wesleyan in 17-0 Win

The Nebraska Wesleyan defense had one of their most dominating performances of the season and the Prairie Wolves offense scored two touchdowns in the final three minutes as NWU defeated Dakota Wesleyan, 17-0, on Senior Day Saturday (Nov. 3) at Abel Stadium in Lincoln.

It will be a GPAC football battle of the Wesleyan's on Saturday (Nov. 3) as the Nebraska Wesleyan University Prairie Wolves host the Dakota Wesleyan University Tigers in the final home game for NWU at Abel Stadium in Lincoln. Kickoff for the Senior Day game between the Prairie Wolves and Tigers is set for 1 pm.

Nebraska Wesleyan extended its winning streak to three games and got its record back to .500 as they defeated Briar Cliff University 35-14 in GPAC football action on Saturday (Oct. 27) at Memorial Field in Sioux City, Iowa.

Nebraska Wesleyan will look to extend its winning streak to three games this Saturday (Oct. 27) as they hit the road to face Briar Cliff University in a GPAC football matchup. Kickoff between the Prairie Wolves and Chargers is set for 1:00 pm at Memorial Field in Sioux City, Iowa.

Nebraska Wesleyan defensive back Cody Eiler has been named this week’s GPAC/Hauff Sports Football Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played on October 20. Eiler becomes the third NWU defensive player to earn the honor as Prairie Wolves players have been player-of-week after each of their past three games.

Tyler Francis tied the school record with his 28th pass completion on a 3-yard touchdown pass to Brooks Erhart in the fourth quarter to seal a 16-6 victory over Concordia University on homecoming Saturday (Oct. 20) at Abel Stadium in Lincoln.
