The Nebraska Wesleyan University football team had 12 players honored as Daktronics/NAIA Scholar Athletes when the awards were announced at the NAIA Football Championships.

December 6

Nebraska Wesleyan University had four football players named to the First-Team of the 2011 Capital One Academic All-America® College Division Football Team that was announced Dec. 5. The four First-Team selections led all schools in the NAIA. Three other NWU players were named to the Academic All-America® Second-Team, giving the Prairie Wolves a total of seven Academic All-Americans.

The 2011 Great Plains Athletic Conference Football All-Conference team has been selected after a vote of the league coaches on Sunday (Nov. 13) at Midland University in Fremont, Neb. A total of 15 Nebraska Wesleyan University players received recognition from the GPAC.

Indiana Jones intercepted an Ethan Myers pass at the Bronco 5-yard line with 1:39 to play to end the Nebraska Wesleyan game-tying scoring drive and seal a 17-10 Hastings victory over the Prairie Wolves in the season finale for both teams on Saturday (Nov. 12) at Abel Stadium in Lincoln, Neb.

Seven Nebraska Wesleyan University football players have been honored as Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District 6 selections. The teams were announced Thursday (Nov. 10). and NWU had seven players named All-District in the college division.

Old time football rivals Nebraska Wesleyan University and Hastings College will meet for the 98th time on Saturday (Nov. 12) in the season finale for both teams to end the Great Plains Athletic Conference football season. Kickoff between the Prairie Wolves and Broncos is set for 1 p.m., at Abel Stadium in Lincoln.

Nebraska Wesleyan junior Jordan Delbaugh has been named this week’s Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Football Special Team’s Player of the week.

Nebraska Wesleyan held the high powered Dakota Wesleyan offense scoreless in the second half and pulled within seven points with over one minute to play but the onside kick attempt failed as the Tigers defeated the Prairie Wolves 24-17 in GPAC football action on Saturday (Nov. 5) in Mitchell, S.D.

It will be a battle of Wesleyan's on Saturday (Nov. 5) as Nebraska Wesleyan University travels to Mitchell, S.D., to face Dakota Wesleyan in Great Plains Athletic Conference football action. Kickoff between the Prairie Wolves and Tigers is set for 1 p.m., at Joe Quintal Field in Mitchell.

Nebraska Wesleyan junior linebacker Brett Kaczor has been named this week’s Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Football Defensive Player of the week.

Nebraska Wesleyan scored in all three phases of the game and picked up their third straight victory as the Prairie Wolves blew out Briar Cliff 52-7 in GPAC football action on Saturday (Oct. 29) at Abel Stadium in Lincoln, Neb.

Nebraska Wesleyan will go for its third straight victory this Saturday (Oct. 29) when they host Briar Cliff University in GPAC football action. Kickoff between the Prairie Wolves and Chargers is set for 1 pm at Abel Stadium in Lincoln, Neb.

Nebraska Wesleyan took advantage of two Concordia turnovers deep into Bulldogs territory as the Prairie Wolves came away with a touchdown and field goal then the tough NWU defense held the Bulldogs out of the endzone to preserve a 10-7 victory in GPAC football action on Saturday (Oct. 22) in Seward, Neb.

Nebraska Wesleyan will look to even its GPAC record at 3-3 this Saturday (Oct. 22) when they travel down the road to Seward to face Concordia University in a Great Plains Athletic Conference football matchup. Kickoff between the Prairie Wolves and Bulldogs is set for 1 p.m., at Bulldog Stadium in Seward, Neb.

Nebraska Wesleyan rushed for a season-high 257 yards as the Prairie Wolves ran past Dordt, 45-19, in Great Plains Athletic Conference football action on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 15) at Abel Stadium in Lincoln, Neb.

Nebraska Wesleyan used its recent bye week to heal up and take advantage of extra practice time and the Prairie Wolves hope to bounce back this Saturday when they host Dordt College in a GPAC football matchup. Nebraska Wesleyan managed just 40 yards of total offense as the Northwestern defense dominated in a 27-6 victory on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 1) at Korver Field in Orange City, Iowa.

Nebraska Wesleyan will look to remain unbeaten on the road as the Prairie Wolves travel to Orange City, Iowa to face Northwestern College in GPAC football action this Saturday (Oct. 1). Kickoff between the Prairie Wolves and Red Raiders is set for 1:30 pm at DeLavois Stadium/Korver Field.

Doane’s defense limited Nebraska Wesleyan to just 130 yards of total offense as the 21st-ranked Tigers defeated the Prairie Wolves 27-3 before a large crowd of 1,905 on homecoming Saturday (Sept. 24) at Abel Stadium in Lincoln.

An old rivalry will be renewed this Saturday (Sept. 24) as Nebraska Wesleyan University and Doane College meet on the football field for the 97th time in GPAC football action on Homecoming Saturday at Abel Stadium. Kickoff between the Prairie Wolves and Tigers is set for 1 pm.
