The 2009 Great Plains Athletic Conference Football All-Conference team has been selected after a vote of the league coaches on Sunday (Nov. 16) at Dana College in Blair, Neb. A total of 12 Nebraska Wesleyan University players received recognition from the GPAC.

Three Nebraska Wesleyan University football players have been honored as CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 7 selections. The teams were announced Thursday (Nov. 5) and the NWU honorees were led by junior kicker Zach Egger who earned First-Team All-District honors.

Mike Millard caught a 29-yard touchdown pass from Matt Hagge with 0:36 seconds remaining in the game to give Nebraska Wesleyan a thrilling 26-13 comeback victory over Midland Lutheran College on Homecoming Saturday (Oct. 31) in GPAC football action at Abel Stadium in Lincoln. NWU added a final TD on the last play of the game as Tony Terp ran in a fumble after the Warriors were attempting laterals as time expired.
