At Nebraska Wesleyan’s annual football banquet, wide receiver John Klinker (Sr., Omaha, Neb., Ralston High School) earned the only team award given by the NWU football program when he was presented with the 2006 Chad Frisbie Award.

Nebraska Wesleyan football player Kyle Elsasser (Jr., Bancroft, Neb., Bancroft-Rosalie High School) has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA).

Nebraska Wesleyan University Head Football Coach Brian Keller announced the names of 67 recruits today, who will be joining the program this fall.

March 7

Daktronics-NAIA All-America Scholar-Athletes have been named for 2005 in football. The award is given to juniors and seniors who have a cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.50 or higher. Nebraska Wesleyan University led the Great Plains Athletic Conference and tied for second nationally with nine honorees. Defending NAIA champion Carroll College (Mont.) was the only team in the association with more.

Recent Nebraska Wesleyan University graduate Scott Keller was one of 29 men in the nation selected to receive a $7,500 postgraduate scholarship from the NCAA for the fall 2005 sports season.
