Prairie Wolves Close Season At Hastings

November 7, 2012

Nebraska Wesleyan will close out the 2012 football season this Saturday (Nov. 10) with a road game at Hastings College in the GPAC football season finale. Kickoff between the Prairie Wolves and Broncos is set for 1 pm at Lloyd Wilson Field in Hastings, Neb.

NWU wants to continue their hot streak and end the season on a good note by extending their winning streak to five games. The Prairie Wolves have won four straight to improve to 5-4 overall, 4-4 in the GPAC. NWU can climb to as high as third place in the league standings with a victory.

Hastings is going in the other direction as the Broncos have lost three straight games to fall to 6-3 overall, 5-3 in GPAC after starting the season at 6-0. The Broncos, once ranked No. 14 in the NAIA, have dropped games to Morningside, Doane and Northwestern the past three weeks being outscored by an average of 34 points per game in each loss.

Look for a close defensive battle between these two long-time rivals this Saturday as the last four games have decided by less than a touchdown with no team scoring over 17 points.

The game can be heard live on KFOR 1240 AM or online at kfor1240.com with Dick Janda calling the action. LISTEN LIVE
