Nebraska Wesleyan will look to extend its winning streak to three games this Saturday (Oct. 27) as they hit the road to face Briar Cliff University in a GPAC football matchup. Kickoff between the Prairie Wolves and Chargers is set for 1:00 pm at Memorial Field in Sioux City, Iowa.
NWU (3-4, 2-4 GPAC) got an emotional 16-6 victory over Concordia University on Homecoming its last time out to record their second conference win of the year. The Prairie Wolves used a tenacious defense to hound the Bulldog quarterback into throwing three interceptions, while the NWU offense got on track through the air.
Briar Cliff (1-7, 1-5) has just one victory on the season and is in the middle of a three game losing streak. The Chargers were handled 55-7 by nationally-ranked Northwestern last Saturday. The lone Charger victory was a 33-28 win over Dordt on Sept. 29.
This will be the first time since 2008 NWU has played at Briar Cliff and the Prairie Wolves are 4-0 against BCU on their home field.
The game can be heard live on KFOR 1240AM with Dick Janda calling the action or heard online at kfor1240.com. LISTEN LIVE
