NWU Baseball Players Named Scholar Athletes

Three members of the Nebraska Wesleyan University baseball team were chosen as 2009 Daktronics/NAIA Scholar Athletes. Juniors Brady Beckman, Dan Beckmann and Bryon Janata all received the recognition.

Six Players Named to All-Independent Team

Six different Nebraska Wesleyan baseball players were named to the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) All-Independent Team that was recently announced.  Cory Hilgenkamp and Max Hubka were on the First-Team, Zane Cascini, Josh Ostrom and Tyler Stephenson were named to the Second-Team and Corey Petersen was placed on the Third-Team.  In addition, Josh Ostrom was named the Co-Rookie of the Year. 

Fresno Pacific Ends NWU Season at Nationals

13th-ranked Fresno Pacific University scored fiveunanswered runs in the last three innings as they rallied for a 9-7 victory to eliminate Nebraska Wesleyan from the NAIA National Baseball Tournament opening round on Wednesday (May 13) in Sioux City, Iowa.
