The Nebraska Wesleyan baseball team scored 13 runs apiece in a pair of victories during their Spring Break Trip to Texas on Monday (March 16). The Prairie Wolves defeated Cardinal-Stritch, 13-9, then came back to blow out Concordia (Texas), 13-0 in the nightcap.

Pitchers Shut Down Bethany in Sweep

Cory Hilgenkamp and Josh Ostrom both had complete game victories allowing Bethany College (Kan.) just one run and four total hits and Nebraska Wesleyan University picked up a doubleheader sweep on Sunday afternoon at NWU Field in Lincoln, Neb. NWU won game one, 3-1, then came back for a 2-0 victory in the second game.

Prairie Wolves Split With Beavers

The Nebraska Wesleyan baseball team committed six errors in the second half of a doubleheader as Buena Vista prevented the sweep with a 9-6 victory in the nightcap of a NCAA III baseball doubleheader on Friday night at Sherman Field in Lincoln. NWU won the first game, 8-5.

NWU Wins Slugfest in Season Opener

Freshman Josh Ostrom had a huge debut for Nebraska Wesleyan going 5-6 with two home runs and a double to lead NWU to a nonconference slugfest 17-11 victory over Concordia University in the 2009 season opener on Thursday (Mar. 4) at Sherman Field in Lincoln.

Baseball Picked 5th in GPAC Coaches' Poll

The 2009 Great Plains Athletic Conference preseason baseball coaches' poll was released on Tuesday (Jan. 27) and Nebraska Wesleyan received 92 points to rank fifth in the preseason poll.
