Carson Named Academic All-American
Nebraska Wesleyan University Track and Field athlete Derek Carson was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).  Carson was named to the Academic All-America® First-Team in the college division.  He was a second-team Academic All-America® selection in 2008. Three NWU Athletes Named Academic All-District
Nebraska Wesleyan University had three track & field athletes named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Track & Field/Cross Country teams that were announced on Thursday (June 4).  Senior Derek Carson was on the District VII First-Team in the college division.  Senior Matt Glasnapp and junior Jackie Spelts were both voted to the Second-Team. NWU Places 11th at NCAA III Championships

Derek Carson and Matt Glasnapp each earned three All-American awards as they led the Nebraska Wesleyan University men's track team to a tie for 11th place at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Marietta, Ohio. NWU scored 19 team points to tie for 11th.
