NWU Associate Professor of History Meghan Winchell will teach U.S. women’s and African-American history at Nebraska Wesleyan’s sister school, the University of Tartu in Tartu, Estonia, during the 2011-2012 academic year as a faculty recipient of the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship.
“At this point in my career, I am eager to apply my talents and skills to an international teaching experience in Estonia as a Fulbright Scholar,” said Winchell. Winchell has taught at Nebraska Wesleyan since 2004. The Ameritas Faculty Fellow received the Exemplary Teacher Award from the United Methodist Board of Highter Education in 2010.
Winchell’s husband and children will travel with her and also learn about Estonian history, traditions and language.
