Jarryd Widhalm (’09) has earned a Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship, providing $23,000 toward graduate study in Mexico. Widhalm is currently studying international business at El Tecnologico de Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico.
Rotary scholars serve as goodwill ambassadors to their host countries. Widhalm is already an experienced goodwill ambassador. His travels with Nebraska Wesleyan University’s Global Service Learning have taken him to Swaziland, Nicaragua, Tampa, southern California and Denver.
Widhalm is the 10th alumnus to receive the Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship. He follows Brandon Davis (’08), who is a 2008 Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial scholar. Davis studied in Bolivia.
