Baseball Record-Holder Fields NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship
Consistency is one of Josh Ostrom’s (’12) strengths. The Fremont, Neb.-native set NWU baseball’s starts record by starting in each of his 150 games as a Prairie Wolf, contributing both as a shortstop and a pitcher.
Ostrom’s consistency served him well as a student, too. The exercise science major graduated with a 3.8 GPA and earned a $7,500 NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. The NCAA awarded just 58 of these scholarships for postgraduate study to men and women across all divisions nationally.
Ostrom is the 43rd Nebraska Wesleyan student to earn this scholarship, a total that ranks NWU fifth in the NCAA and third in NCAA Division III.
