Lesley Dudden had no idea her 2010 G8 and G20 summit experience would include a 30-minute personal conversation with the president of the United States.

In an unusual twist, Mathews-Benham found herself taking lessons from one of her students last semester: Gulbanu Ibragimkyzy, an exchange student from Kyzylorda, Kazakhstan.

Guatemala was “Plan C” for Global Service Learning (GSL), Nebraska Wesleyan’s student group dedicated to domestic and international service projects.

Thanks to some international legwork by Karla and Travis Jensen, Nebraska Wesleyan has enjoyed a tremendous increase in the number of German-speaking international students.

A new location has led to a new approach to the university’s phonathon efforts. NWU used to conduct its alumni call campaigns in Smith-Curtis’s Callen Conference Center.

Alicia Dallman (’09) was one of four Nebraska Wesleyan students to receive a coveted Fulbright Scholarship for international study in 2009.
