Nebraska Wesleyan University welcomes a variety of notable speakers each year to campus. These speakers cover a variety of topics, including civic leadership, psychology, science, and religion.

University Forum
Nebraska Wesleyan University's Forum Series prides itself on bringing
notable speakers to Lincoln.
Past Forum events have featured:
- Dr. Jane Goodall, internationally-known conservationist and activist
- Warren Buffett,
successful entrepreneur
- Arun Gandi, grandson of Indian activist Mohatma
Gandhi
- Lois Jenson, inspiration behind the hit movie, "North Country"
Forum events are typically held at 1pm on Thursdays.
Curtis Lecture on Public Leadership
Established in 2005 to honor the late Senator Carl T. Curtis. This lecture explores aspects of public and civic leadership.
Fawl Lecture
An annual psychology lecture named in honor of Clifford Fawl, who taught psychology at Nebraska Wesleyan University for 41 years.
Fetzer Lecture
Annual lecture delivered by distinguished scholars of science.
Holder Lecture
Established in 1991 to honor Kenneth Holder, Professor Emeritus of English and former Provost of Nebraska Wesleyan University. This lecture highlights current issues in the fields of rhetoric, composition, and language theory.
Mattingly Distinguished Scholar Lecture and Swan Lecture
These two lectures bring to campus distinguished scholars of religion.
Visions & Ventures Symposium
This annual symposium, in its seventh year, helps students build a foundation for their ethical, civic, professional, and intellectual lives by
educating them beyond the boundaries of the classroom. Each September, the
Visions & Ventures Symposium focuses on a specific theme.
Past Visions &
Ventures Symposium speakers include:
- Linda Chavez, president of the Center
for Equal Opportunity
- Morgan Spurlock, award-winning director and star of
the documentary, "Super Size Me,"
- Prince Cedza Dlamini, grandson of Nelson
Mandela
- Laurie Garrett, journalist and leading expert on global health.
