Information for Teachers

High School teachers who elect to teach Honors Academy courses in their high school classes will work with the Nebraska Wesleyan University Honors Academy Director to determine eligibility. Honors Academy instructors are adjunct faculty of Nebraska Wesleyan.

Nebraska Wesleyan University has established a curriculum development program to assist Honors Academy teachers to provide the highest level of instruction and most effective learning environment for students enrolled in Honors Academy courses. Through this program, Nebraska Wesleyan is able to help participating schools acquire new books, equipment and other curricular materials. The Honors Academy Director and departmental coordinator will work with participating teachers to assess individual classroom needs and determine the appropriate level of assistance.

Schools earn a matching amount to their teachers' curriculum funds in the second and subsequent years of participation. Funds may be utilized in a variety of ways to enhance curriculum, provide scholarships or provide student services.
