Site Visits by Departmental Coordinators
The Departmental Coordinator will arrange a minimum of two site visits with a newly appointed Adjunct Instructor during the first year of the appointment and once a year thereafter. The purpose of these meetings is to:
- become acquainted
- observe the Adjunct Instructor in the classroom
- discuss course materials
- discipline-specific requirements and assessment expectations.
The Departmental Coordinator may make suggestions from time to time for the purpose of contributing to the Adjunct Instructor’s success in meeting departmental expectations. They are also responsible for facilitating course assessments within their respective disciplines and may use the on-going site visits to communicate assessment strategies to Adjunct Instructors and assist in their implementation.
