Major:

  • Physics

Minor:

  • Physics

Most physics students complete a second major or a minor in mathematics; many pursue additional study in fields such as computer science or business administration. All department majors are required to complete a supporting program of 25 credit hours from the Division of Natural Sciences.

Through the dual-degree program in engineering, students complete their coursework during three years at Nebraska Wesleyan University and two years at an engineering school, earning two Bachelor's degrees. A solid background in physics coupled with the breadth of the liberal arts gives students more flexibility than a single degree in engineering. Students can complete their engineering study at Columbia University, the University of Nebraska or Washington University. Consult the engineering brochure for more information.
