Extracurricular Organizations
Three major music organizations are represented by
student chapters at Nebraska Wesleyan. Mu Phi Epsilon, a national
music honorary, promotes musicianship, scholarship and service
to the community. Music Educators National Conference (MENC)
provides invaluable experience for those pursuing careers
in music education. American Choral Directors Association
(ACDA) focuses on education and opportunities for students
active in the choral arts.
National and International Travel
The music program is recognized nationally by respected
music scholars and performers as one of the finest in the
Midwest. It has earned this recognition by enabling students
to travel and perform both nationally and internationally.
For example, the band performed as part of Olympic ceremonies
in Australia; and the choir has performed for heads of state
in Romania and Russia, and is regularly invited to sing at
events worldwide.
