The computer science degree addresses major principles in mathematics and computer science that can be applied to future technological innovations. Students pursuing a degree in information systems gain a solid foundation in computer science and mathematics while developing their knowledge of business concepts essential to professional success. Both programs follow the curriculum guidelines of the Association of Computer Machinery (ACM).
The mathematics major is designed to meet a wide variety of students' interests while helping them develop strong analytical skills. Faculty members work with students to develop a supporting area of study for careers in business, actuarial science, government and education. Teaching endorsements are also available.
