Facilities
The Marion and Marian Weary Center for Health and Fitness boasts outstanding facilities for all students and special opportunities for department majors:

  • an exercise science lab
  • cardiovascular exercise area
  • weight rooms
  • racquetball courts
  • a swimming pool.

Extracurricular Organizations
The Health and Human Performance Club is one of the most active groups on campus. Members work at aid stations during the Lincoln Marathon, sponsor a drug awareness program at a local elementary school, participate in city park clean-ups and bring professionals to campus to discuss relevant issues.

Phi Epsilon Kappa is a national honorary for those pursuing careers in health, physical education, recreation, dance, human performance, sports medicine and sports management.

The Athletic Training Student Association (ATSA) is an organization of athletic training majors. This majors club provides the chance to learn from a multitude of successful practitioners in a wide variety of professions through outside speakers. ATSA also provides funding for members to attend professional conventions, national board testing preparation, and other opportunities that may enhance the experiences of an athletic training major. While ATSA views professional development as very important, the individual growth of its members is equally important. This organization provides its members with the chance to form life-long friendships and enjoy outside entertainment.
