Global studies graduates are equipped to pursue a variety of academic and professional opportunities. They have won Fulbright grants and other prestigious fellowships and gained admission to some of the top graduate and professional institutions.

Recent alumni are enrolled in the Japanese Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program, completing fellowships with the U.S. Agency for International Development (AID) in Colombia and working for international corporations.

“Through the global studies program, I gained a much better perspective of not only other people and cultures of the world, but also of myself and the kind of life I want to live.”
—Erica Brock (’98), study abroad advisor, Creighton University

“During my junior year I spent six months in Togo—an experience that changed my life—studying West African culture, politics and economics. The people I met opened their hearts and minds to me, teaching me about their culture as well as my own.”
—Keri Aspegren (’98), toxicology assistant, Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Department of the Environment, Paris
