Education Department

For college students working to become educators, valuable out-of-the-classroom experiences often put them in the classroom. Education students get hands-on experience throughout their entire college training. Education majors at NWU spend 20 to 25 hours each semester in classroom situations. That’s where they apply the theories they’ve learned and gain valuable practical experience.

The Education Department is accredited by the Nebraska State Department of Education and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).

The Education Department is located on the first floor of Smith-Curtis Classroom-Administration Building.
