About the Show

Frederic becomes free from his apprenticeship with the Pirates of Penzance on his 21st birthday. He promptly falls in love with the major-general’s daughter, and the future looks bright. That is, until he discovers his birthday is actually February 29. Frederic won’t gain his freedom until he truly turns 21—in 63 years. Will his love wait?

The current production of Pirates of Penzance is a treat to see and hear. The dancing and singing were Just amazing. It is always a treat to see the talent of Wesleyan students - and this time, faculty also. It is wonderful to see that the 1880's operetta translates so well into the 21st century theatre. Thanks for a very enjoyable evening.

This is one of the best musicals I've seen at Nebraska Wesleyan...and they've all been fantastic! The music, the comedy, the set and costumes are amazing. Congratulations to all involved!
