About the Show

This play brings back to life the enchanting characters of E.B. White’s highly acclaimed children’s book. The play begins with the unconventional friendship between Fern and her pig, Wilbur. Fern has saved Wilbur from being slaughtered but cannot save him from being sold to a neighboring family. At the Zuckerman’s, Wilbur makes friends with Charlotte, the lovable spider. Charlotte helps to keep Wilbur from being killed by making him famous by calling Wilbur “some pig” with her web. The play continues on with an abundance of exciting characters and animals that fill both Wilbur’s and Charlotte’s lives with fun-filled adventures.

I am a teacher at Huntington elementary school. I was wondering if you would be able to perform this show during the day on a weekday. I would love the chance to bring my students to it if it is appropriate for Kindergartners.

We were also wondering if a rehearsal would be available for students during the day on a weekday. Our students are 7th graders at Schoo Middle School and after a survey regarding possible outings, seeing a college production scored top marks. Obviously, an evening show is not possible. I hope someone from the university responds to this thread soon!

Thanks for your interest in your class seeing a production. If you would contact the person scheduling performances of Charlotte's Web, Kelly Houlehan , she will be happy to give you more information.
