Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work Department

What’s the difference between sociology and anthropology?

so-ci-ol-o-gy(n.) 1. the scientific study of human social behavior
an-thro-pol-o-gy(n.) 1. the study of humankind, especially of the variety, physical, and cultural characteristics, distribution, customs, and social relationships

Nebraska Wesleyan University joins these two fields and adds social work in a single academic department.

Whether your goal is to explore another culture, better understand the power dynamics between bosses and employees, or dedicate your career to child abuse prevention, the Sociology-Anthropology-Social Work Department is a great place to begin.

The sociology honorary is Alpha Kappa Delta.

The social work honorary is Phi Alpha.

The Sociology-Anthropology-Social Work Department is on the first floor of the Smith-Curtis Classroom-Administration Building.
