Music Department
The Department of Music at Nebraska Wesleyan is a training ground, a performance center, and a laboratory. Directing itself to the needs of the students, the department is rich in personal attention and strongly emphasizes performance. The resources include a faculty of performing artists/teachers and facilities that are among the finest in the Midwest.
An accredited member of the National Associate of Schools of Music, the department offers a Bachelor of Music degree with majors in performance and music education. A Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in music is also available. Music scholarships and ensemble participation grants are available each year, and the department offers a work study program to assist students who have financial need.
The Department of Music is located in the Vance D. Rogers Center for Fine Arts, which houses faculty studios and offices, instrumental and vocal rehearsal areas, practice rooms, classrooms, listening center, instructional computer lab and MIDI-studio. The facility also houses the 1,500-seat O'Donnell Auditorium, where major concerts by students, faculty, and visiting artists are held.
Listen to the Nebraska Wesleyan Choir perform the Wesleyan Hymn.
