The Department of Music at NWU is a training ground, performance center and laboratory. We emphasize personal attention and student performance. Our resources include a strong faculty of performing artists and teachers and facilities among the finest in the Midwest.

The Music Department is located in the Vance D. Rogers Center for Fine Arts. 14 practice rooms are available for student use without reservation during all open hours of the building. The choral ensembles rehearse in a spacious rehearsal room complete with listening equipment and a full-wall mirror for coreography instruction. Solo recitals and choral performances are held in O'Donnell Auditorium, a 1500-seat hall that offers an excellent acoustic.
