Religion and Philosophy Department
The Religion and Philosophy Department nurtures an appreciation for the diverse religious and philosophical traditions of our global community.
Our students use interpretive frameworks to understand and evaluate the world around them. They also construct arguments to clarify or refute their assumptions and make reasoned decisions about their most fundamental religious and philosophical beliefs.
Upper level courses in the Religion and Philosophy Department are small. These classes allow students to engage in rigorous dialogue with each other and their professors as they determine their own positions on philosophic or religious issues.
Our students put their values and beliefs about humanity into action through national and international service learning projects.
The Religion and Philosophy Department is located on the third floor of Old Main.
