*The Commencement Ceremony is outdoors. Please be prepared for Nebraska spring weather.
Rain Plan
If inclement weather is forecast:
- Final Walk will be cancelled. The class picture will be taken in Snyder Arena.
- Graduates and faculty will assemble in the east half of Knight Field House.
- Commencement will be held in Snyder Arena and telecasted on the west half of Knight Field House. Tickets for Snyder Arena will be available on Friday and Saturday.

Parking
All parking lots on campus are available for you on commencement day. Street parking is available as well. However, parking is NOT permitted on Madison Avenue between 49th and 56th streets. Download the Commencement Map (PDF) to view parking options.
Coffee House Open Hours
Families and friends may take a break in our coffee house located in the lower level of Story Student Center from 2:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Pictures
Following the hooding ceremony, each of the three master's degree classes will have its class picture taken on the front steps of First United Methodist Church. Following baccalaureate, an all-class picture will be taken on the front steps of First United Methodist Church.

NWU does not provide professionally recorded DVDs. Please feel free to bring your video camera and record this special day.
Convenient Light Dinners
Family members and friends may pre-order light dinners to enjoy on Taylor Commons before commencement ceremonies. Graduates receive one complimentary boxed dinner through a separate order form.
Choose from ham, roast beef, chicken caesar or vegetarian sandwiches on whole grain bread plus a package of baby carrots, a bag of chips and cookies. All adult dinners are $6. A peanut butter and jelly sandwich option for children is $4.
