In our spring issue, we reported on Nick Rathod’s work on President Obama’s transition team. He served throughout the transition as Director of Intergovernmental Affairs.
With Obama’s transition now complete, Rathod has made a transition of his own into the White House. He is Deputy Associate Director of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs. Rathod is responsible for working specifically with state legislators.
“The White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs works closely with state and local officials elected by the American people to ensure America’s citizens and their elected officials have a government that works effectively for them and with them,” reads WhiteHouse.gov. “State and local governments are critical to the creation and implementation of national policy.”
Rathod and his colleagues are responsible for joining those state and local officials with the White House.
